Four people were stabbed when a fight broke out early Sunday morning in downtown San Jose.
One of those people, an adult man, suffered life-threatening injuries in the melee, which happened near S. Almaden Avenue and Post Street, according to the San Jose Police Department. The man remained hospitalized Sunday in critical condition, police said.
Officers were called to the brawl at 2:37 a.m., prompting street closures in the area while detectives investigated the incident. No further details were released about what led to the stabbing, and no arrests were announced.
The police department later said three additional people showed up at local hospitals with stab wounds from the fight. All of them are expected to survive, police said.
